Air New Zealand is the airline of choice for all domestic flights. Our helicopter supplier of choice is Advanced Flight who are New Zealand’s premier company. On the ground, we use Samuels Vehicle Hire for hosted tours and self-drive group moving vehicles. Hertz is our company of choice for self-drive cars and SUV’s. For all sightseeing, adventure activities and private tours we use companies with a first class track record.
Samuels Vehicle Hire supply Playing Around New Zealand with new and late model Mercedes vehicles for both hosted and self-drive tours. These include 12 seat Sprinter minivans and 8 seat Viano people movers. These vehicles are supplied with the golfer in mind and provide luxurious comfort and plenty of space for golf clubs.
Playing Around New Zealand uses Hertz for the majority of the self-drive itineraries where a sedan or SUV is required. The vehicles are less than 3 years old and are in immaculate condition. Hertz has convenient locations at each of the destinations that are offered on the golf tour itineraries. All self-drive golf packages include a pre-programmed GPS unit. All vehicles include unlimited kilometres, 24 hour breakdown assistance and insurance (subject to damage excess).
Air New Zealand provides a quality air travel service for flights within New Zealand. They fly to and from all of our best golf destinations and have a superb safety record and reputation for good service. They operate Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 jets as well as turbo props on their domestic routes. Our preferred helicopter company is Advanced Flight who are based in Auckland. They have a large fleet consisting of single engine Eurocopter EC130’s and twin engine Bell 429’s and Squirrels. They are able to service transfer and scenic flight requests throughout New Zealand.
